We all look at these gorgeous people in movies, magazines, social media and have this dire need to look like them. Aren’t we fooled? Nobody can look like that. Unless you starve yourselves. Yes, that is what they do. They lose weight temporarily for that particular scene of the movie. They’re on juice diets, fruit diets for a week or so. Instead of trying to attain bodies which are not possible, why not focus on staying healthy and fit? Just drink enough water and exercise daily.

Here’s a trick. All you need to do is take out 20 minutes thrice a week. First, do jumping jacks for 30 seconds (as fast as you can) then just walk at the same place for 1 minute 30 seconds. In 20 minutes, this routine can be done 10 times. Violà! Calories burnt. The logic behind this is simple. Animals, for instance, a tiger doesn’t do any exercise to remain fit. But when they hunt, they run at full speed for a couple of seconds. And the deer tries to run away as fast as it can from the tiger. So we don’t need to work out for hours to remain fit. Leave that to the body builders and fitness enthusiasts.

Not a fan of drinking milk with Turmeric? Here’s a solution.

I am sure at some point of our lives, our mothers must have forced us to drink turmeric mixed in milk. But not all of us will like its taste. Turmeric has many benefits which is why it has been a part of Indian tradition. To take full advantage of this spice, it should have a good amount Curcumin, say 5%. It the main ingredient of Turmeric. The spice also has anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to prevent cancer, control cholesterol, boost immunity, fight depression and relieve arthritis. It also helps to lose weight and works as an excellent facial mask to get rid of marks, wrinkles and tanning. No wonder it is called the Queen of Spices.

Organic food reduces toxicity in our body

People go back and forth discussing why organically grown food is good for us and why we should consume it. The question which remains unanswered is, “how does organic food reduce toxicity in the human body?”.

A study was conducted where adults were asked to consume only organic food for one whole week. After the tests were done, the results showed that the level of toxic waste in the body had dropped by 89% . Now that is a pretty significant and big number. This toxicity is an Organophosphate pesticide or just OP Pesticide. It can lead to problems in growth, fertility and development of the body. It can cause autism (a mental condition where forming relationships becomes difficult) and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: a condition which affects concentration power and focus) in the offsprings.

Germs are not always at fault for our illness

Most of us blame the germs when we fall sick. That may not be always the case. Sure, maintaining a proper hygiene is important, but the state of our mind also plays a major role in our lifestyle. For instance, we all have a friend who is “on a diet”. But the moment they go for a cheat meal, we have to listen to their guilt and rants. Turns out, if you feel guilty because you were trapped by a slice of chocolate cake, you are more likely to gain weight. But if you cherish that delicious, soft and moist slice with no regrets, you are more likely to be happy (this doesn’t mean you can devour one everyday). Similarly, people who worry too much about hygiene, are more likely to fall ill. The focus has to be on boosting your immunity and  maintaining a good diet, not on the germs which are everywhere and can’t even be seen.
